Re: How long does it take to reclaim your bank charges back? Well unfortunately it depends on how quick you react and the bank responds.
First off you need to send a letter to your bank requesting a list of all charges over the last 6 years.
Once that you receive it back you then need write to your bank to inform them that the charges are unfair against the rate set by the office of fair trading which is £15 per charge, most banks charge £30. Failure to do so will result in legal action.
You need to be descisive to it's easier to get the £15 difference back than it will be to get the whole lot.
Not that its impossible to get it all back but it may require actual legal action rather than just a threat.
