I suspect it will be the old 'force the zero' technique - that is bet 1 on red, 1 on black, 1 on zero - do this until zero comes in (needs to be within 36 spins).
I can't imagine this would work - here's another observation I've lifted from the net which I also can't imagine would work:

A little tip though, I've noticed with the roulette terminals in the Ladbrokes shops, that if a 2 comes in, then within a few spins either 2 or 35 will come in. Also if 30, 13, or 22 comes in then within 10-12 spins, one of them will come in again. The same goes for 1, 3, 5 and 7, if any of them come in, I've noticed that one or more of them will come in again within 8-10 spins.

Surely these machines work like fruit machines - so they will pay out what they want when they want.
