a) Laptop (that supports wireless)

c) Webcam

e) Wireless router
f) Wireless modem

*You need item (e) and (f) if you dont have item (d)

Step 1

Set up a wireless connection in your home. To do that, search the forums and/or google it and/or read your wireless modem router manual book and/or call the "computer guy" where you bought your wireless modem router

Step 2

First, you will need to connect your webcam to your laptop and put them in a desired location where you want to observe. Then, you need to set the permission for Remote Desktop Connection for both computers. To do that, right click on My Computer then click Properties. Then go to the remote tab and check the box which says "Allow Remote Assistance invitations to be ...................." then press Apply then Ok.

In short, Right click My Computer > Properties > Remote > Check Box > Apply > Ok

What you have done is you have actually enable another computer to connect to your computer via Remote Desktop Connection.

Step 3

Now that you have enable Remote Desktop Connection in both computers, you will need to use your desktop to connect into your laptop. Before you can do that, you need to check the local IP of your laptop. To do that, go to your laptop and go to Start. Then go to Run and type cmd. Then a black box will come out. Type ipconfig in your black box. Then check your IP Adress for your wireless card and not the LAN one. It should be 2 types, either 192.168.X.X or 10.0.0.X . Write it down in a piece of paper

In short, Start > Run > type cmd > type ipconfig > write down your IP

Step 4

Good job if you can reach this step. Now get your desktop to connect into your laptop. To do this, go Start, then All Programs then go to Accessories and look up for Communications and select Remote Desktop Connection. A small box should appear if you sellected the correct option. Type \\<Laptop IP> Replace <Laptop IP> with the IP you wrote down on the piece of paper a moment ago. Remember to put \\ before entering your Laptop local IP. Then press Connect.

In short, Start > All Programs > Accessories > Communication > Remote Desktop Connection > type laptop local IP > Connect

Step 5

Congratulations you have connected to your laptop via desktop. Now start your webcam. I cant describe the steps for these because it depends on your webcam brand and model. However, I am using Logitech so i can breifly explain it. Start the Logitech QuickCapture and *Poof* you are done!
May I ask why this has been posted in my thread?

Thanks.
