How To Deposit A Check With No Signature

On the line where the signature would normally go, write or type the word "over" and nothing else. On the back of the check, write "lack of signature guaranteed." Then add your companies name, your name and your title. Then sign it (still on the back of the check).

This guarantees YOUR bank that you will accept the chargeback if the check isn't honored. Almost all banks will now process the check and deposit the funds into your account. Now you don't have to go to all of the trouble of contacting your customer and asking for another signature.

come on, couldn't you say its from any company and give yourself a check for £1000

No you couldnt and this is why.

1. The funds will be taken out of someones account, so even if its your own account you just break even.

2. If the company doesnt exist, they will have no account, so you will then have to honour the chargeback, and will be £xxx down.

3. If you use a real company name, you will get sued and will probably end up losing a lot more money through court.
