Cash Refunds For Credit Card Purchases

When you return merchandise to a store you can insist on
cash - not credit - if you've paid by credit card, it's your
legal right. The store doesn't want you to know this, they
would rather you feel obligated to return to the store soon
to use your credit card. But if the store is being
uncooperative, write a letter to your credit card company
asking for a refund. They should respond in about 30 days.

you sure about this - i thought a refund would be in the exact form you paid, so if you paid with credit card they would recredit the credit card.

does this mean you can pay cash and ask for the refund to be put on card. i dont think that is so so i think the above statment is untrue

if that made sense?
