"For Sale! 2001 Volkswagen Polo 1.6 CL. 12-Months T&T, Full Service History, 54,000 miles, £4,750. "
However, what you’ll probably not be aware of is that the dealer selling the car would have paid £3,500 tops!
Cars are like any other commodity; they are bought and sold for profit everyday. Now imagine the dealer who placed the above advert had a further 4 cars all priced around the same with each bringing in a profit of around £1,200?
I’m not talking about the Arthur Daly type of dealer with the sheepskin coat and cigar. These are everyday people just like you and me who simply want to make a bit of money each month.
My name is Mike Sutherland. I’ve been trading cars for the best part of ten years. In that time I’ve probably shifted over £250,000 worth of cars and make around £20,000 profit each year.
Not a fortune I agree, but it’s a great life, which gets me out and about. I meet some extraordinary characters, drive some classy motors… and I don’t even get my hands dirty!

These sell for around £5500.00. I bought this car for £3750.00. A simple advert in Auto Mart and it was sold (after a bit of haggling) for £5250.00… a profit of £1,500.
This happens all the time and I’ll share all my secrets with you. For instance, valuing cars is essential when looking for quick deals. Get it right and you’ll be in profit… get it wrong and you’ll be lucky to break even. You’ll learn how the professionals value each car to ensure maximum profit.
