It's not eBay that scammed your friend, it's some cr*p con "artist"...
If your friend weren't stupid, he'd know that the sale of actual currency is illegal. He'd also know that it's not that easy to make money and that nobody just gives it out for free unless it's for charity :P

if you sell on ebay regularly always send item recorded.I used to sell lingerie and would get the occasional person claiming that they hadnt received the item so to save malicious feedback you would resend item.Send recorded and eliminate problem!!!

We recently had some bits and bobs selling on flee bay (), one item was a pair of as new football boots. They sold for what we wanted,were paid for immediately and were posted immediately. 3 weeks later the buyer says he hasn't received them, I know I posted them although, my mistake, I forgot to get proof of postage for them. This was the first time I forgot!!! I only keep the POP for 2 weeks anyway. The buyer threatened me with negative feedback and reporting me to ebay, I called his bluff and nothing happened. He was obviously trying to pull a fast one. Everything I have sent has been received, I have posted stuff all over the world and it's got there.I have 100% positive feedback. Why was he trying it on for £8.50?????
