not that i am aware but would love to hear from anyone that knows how

there is the trick with the 9v battery ie telephone cable out of sky box take off phone jack plug to expose red black green and other wire.
Join red and black and join the other two together.
clip 1 set of wires to one side of 9v and 1 set to other side of battery.

hey presto free pay per view (note that you cannot reconnect sky box to main phone line after this or you will be charged for all pay per views watched)

re pay per view, sorry but forgot to mention you may have a limit of 50 pounds set by sky on your hard drive

No, no such thing. You would have a limit anyway so at some point you would have replace your box. Not worth it.
