Just wondering What your opinions are on obtaining music/film/software .etc.
Personally i download torrents all the time but often wonder if i am actually breaking the law?
Lately there has been talk of crackdowns on illegal downloading, but what are our chances of getting caught? |

Illegal torrents are illegal.
Downloading copyrighted content on the internet is illegal...but who gives a f**k?

Ahh not all torrents are illegal, if you are downloading freeware or shareware, then it is perfectly LEGAL.

Reading that article, how can they find out who is downloading stuff? (and how can i stop them finding out!?)
I only download the odd music album every so often, just getting concerned about getting caught! | |

yes trips is right ady,they are on about people who are seeding and leaching 24/7 or at the most frequent times when bandwith is short which is between 4pm gmt and 12 am | |

I'm with Virgin Media and I use torrent software regularly. I haven't had a letter yet, when and if I do I will still use the software, as I see them looking at what I'm doing an invasion of privacy. | |

yes but once theyve warned you they will then throttle your bandwith which will makw it near on impossible to download FA
as your with virgin read the post ive just added to sky subscriptions going up as i cant be bothered to repeat it | |
