water meter?

Hi all, i've just joined this site and looking forward to reading the posts.

I have a problem. Does anyone know how to 'turn back' a water meter?
I'm not trying to cheat the water company but due to a leak i have 'used' a few thousand extra litres of water while the house was empty and because I can't speak the language of the water company it's likely they're gonna want me to pay for it!
If I reverse the meter will it turn it backwards over time?
It's a PD type of meter i think....
Anyone?

Hello xt600 and welcome to cashloopholes. Im pretty certain you cant reverse the water meter, you can bypass it by running a pipe round it, which supplies your water, then run a pipe into the water meter, with a stop cock or service vale that can shut off and allow water in, then release water into it every now and then so the water company dont get sus, this itself is quite dodgy to do if you get caught. hi there i dont no if this will work with water meter but i no it works with gas meter with the gas meter u have a inpipe and a out pipe u just unbolt the meter and turn it round so when u are using gas the meter numbers will go backwards i no this defo works with gas meter i dont no if water meter is set up same way as never seen one m8 hope it helps anyway
