In some jobs such as caring and working with children employers are allowed to apply for a CRB check on possible candidates, to find out if they have any criminal background. I'm sure they have very stringent rules on giving out this sort of information to anyone, but if you know anyone who works in a sector where CRB checks for job applicants is the norm, might be worth having a chat with them? although i'm sure it will cost

There is no way of accessing the PNC Police National Computer , unless you work within the courts cops solicitors etc..

CRB is heavly protected under privacy and protection laws, only way you can get info is to apply via cop shop wit £20 for a seach to be done, but will only do if good id provided and you can only search for your own person no one else.

if you are trying to find out about a neighbour - if he into kids etc, then speak to social services - "worried about neigbour actions towards children - give name address and their response should give you a firm indication of if anything of concern lies on file.
