I already have normal sky, say if i bought a sky+ of ebay or something seeing as the subscription price is the same, could i not just plug the sky+ box in with all my old sky cables and be able to record tv and shizz? |

Now the reason you need two feeds I believe is because the channels are polarised either vertically or horizontally and the situation could and will exist where one channel is not the same polarisation as the other.
A voltage is sent from the Sky+ to the LNB to determine polarisation.
What would happen if you split a single feed into both inlets on the Sky+ - would you be able to record one and watch the other providing both channels are polarised the same way ??? |
