I was just pondering a unique idea I could enact to make a little extra money on the side. What do you guys think of a 50/50 Raffle website? For those who don't know, a 50/50 raffle is where people will buy a ticket, and the winner receives half of the winnings and the organization (me) would keep the other half. It's fair and has a good return on investment imho. I don't there are any serious moral or ethical issues by using a raffle to make money for my personal use, since there are no laws or guidelines saying that raffles are only for charities or schools or sports teams. what do you guys think? Should I do it?

EDIT: oops, nvm. i feel stupid. Apparently these are considered gambling, especially if you're not non-profit, so screw that idea. It's kinda lame that it's illegal, but *sigh* what can you do? I guess this should be trashed
