[Cheat]New Multi-Site PTC Bot (40+ Sites)

The attached bot (technically a FireFox add-on) is for a multitude of PTC sites, and a lot more will be added in the next release.

Please try to keep the discussions in this thread limited to the bot (problems, suggestions, etc). For discussions regarding any one of the individual PTC sites, please use or create a thread for that specific PTC site.

This bot has been tested with FireFox v2/v3 on both Vista and OS X.

Requirements:
- FireFox v2 or v3 (and know how install add-ons);
- javascript enabled for 'surf' page (i.e. page with all the links on it);
- pop-ups enabled for 'surf' page (i.e. page with all the links on it);

What it does:
- opens one new tab for the ads (hence the need to enable pop-ups);
- redirects each of the available links on the 'surf' page to that window;
- random view duration up to 2 minutes (pseudo-human?);
- links are viewed in random order;
- updates the main page title with current progress (so progress can be seen when minimized);

Installation:
- unzip and install add-on into FireFox How to Install a Firefox Extension (with screenshots) // Internet Duct Tape

Usage:
- you must login to the site before bot will run;
- go to the 'surf' page (i.e. page with all the links on it);
- double-click on the translucent trigger box in the upper-left of the web page to start bot;
- double-click again to stop the bot;
- you can stop at any time, and resume where it left off;
- you can continue using the computer normally, including browsing with another window;

Remarks:

- if there is no translucent trigger box in the upper-left corner that says 'Double-Click to start!' then your browser is probably set to disable javascript on the page -- you need to enable scripts for this page (and this page only), and then re-load the page;

- the AdBlock add-on will block this site for confirming the 'success' when the counter reaches zero, so if you are not getting credit for your views (i.e. no green check or red X next to the Done), then you will have to disable or 'white-list' this site in AdBlock;

- this bot does not block the ad pages (which may contain malware), so be sure to use appropriate protection ('Noscript https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722 add-on to block scripts, Web developer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60 to block referrer info and disable meta redirects);

- if any links were missed on the first pass (due to network problems, or premature closing of the window because parent/boss walked by, etc), simply reload the 'surf' page (to update the links that were already credited);

- you do not have to 'view' all the ads in one sitting -- the next time you reload the 'surf' page it will automatically detect the un-viewed ads;

- this bot does not bypass the timer nor does it use any exploits, so it should not get you banned;

- the pause between views varies from the site minimum (varies by site) up to 2 min, and then it will attempt to wait for the ad page to count down to 'Done' before it moves on to the next ad -- however, if the ad has not completed the countdown after 5 minutes, it will skip to the next ad, and automatically retry any skipped ads on the next pass;

- after viewing approximately 10 ads the bot refreshes the 'surf' page to see if new ads are available;

- when all ads have been viewed, it will refresh the 'surf' page about twice an hour to see if new ads are available;

Comments:

- this bot skips all of the 'bait' links that I have seen so far, however, the site admins could implement a new method at any time, so use at your own risk -- if the bot says there are 8 ads, by you only see 7, then do not launch the bot!

- some sites have 'bad ads' that never go away, or that are shown even though they are expired, either way these are a problem for the bot since it will keep retrying those.

- occasionally FireFox will 'halt' everything, including my bot, usually when there is an alert or error message (inaccessible page/site, etc), in that case you will have to 'reload' any 'surf' page(s) you have open, and the bot will automatically resume.

- in order to maintain the illusion of human clicking, do not run 24/7...

- many of the PTC sites are currently under DDoS attacks (read something about extortion/blackmail on one of the sites), so if a site is not working properly right now, give it a few days to recover, and hopefully implement some anti-DDoS measures (like move to a better hosting service?).

To Do List:

- create an indicator to show that the bot is still running, so that one can tell at a glance if a 'surf' page needs to be reloaded;

- there is a list of over 100 additional sites that I will be reviewing for using this bot... Look for the update to come out in a week or two.

- this technique is listed for educational purposes only, any use of it to defraud any site will be sole responsibility of the user.
