Block ads on Internet Explorer 8 without any software

This guide will show you how to do just that in a step-by-step manner.

Download the InPrivate Filter list from: http://www.dslreports.com/forum/r22124619-IE8-InPrivate-filter-from-adblock-plus-list
Open Internet Explorer 8
Click on "Tools", then click on "Manage Add-ons"
On the "Types of Add-ons" bar click on "InPrivate Filtering"
Click on the "Import..." button
Import the file you just downloaded
There you go! Now go and restart Internet Explorer, and press "ctrl + shift + f" to activate the filter. If a menu pops up, choose the 1st option, or automatically block.

You can try downloading IE7 pro but that will slow your IE down plus you have to download and install it...

with its auto saving tabs ability, IE 7 is better than 8,

Fantastic, i use firefox, but my partner has stuck with IE. So she'll be pleased as she keeps getting ads popping up and she hates it.
