I've pretty much shared as much as I possibly can, if you notice my post count I can't do a lot so I've posted the site so that people can look around and judge for themselves. I don't think I can share much more really as all of it is on the site mentioned and best of all it's all free anyway! if you do want any more info or links then please don't hesitate to send me a PM and i'll be in touch ASAP.

P.S this is for cable modems only, i don't think they go into WIFI, only virgin/ntl/c&w broadband, you have to have had an active cable link in your house because basically they don't cut off the signal, they only cut off the equipment so once you're connected you will always have a way to gain access in the future, you just have to hack a cable modem and find a live MAC address out there to hack the modem to use. It's all explained in more detail on the site so please visit and take a look around!
P.S you can look around the site without having to register, you only have to register to post in the forums

I'm working on getting a few more posts in this evening so that I can post files aswell! I have also noticed that they work with a few other things on the site when I had a good look round it last night including cable tv hacking so I'm gonna open up another thread in the cable hacking section so that I can get a few more posts in over there aswell Hopefully in the next couple of hours i'll be able to post a lot more than I have already so watch this space people!

Right, this is an update to this thread people, this is the Haynes cable guide modem guide to modem hacking, it covers all the standard cable modems out there and probably a couple of others aswell. This was taken straight off of the wizard mods website so all credit to them and the author and not me, i'm just the one bringing this information to the masses! it tells you what you need, what to do and how to do it so this should pretty answer all of your questions and if you do decide to do it then i'd sugest getting a different modem to your own one else your probably gonna get caught! so it's gonna cost you the price of a cable modem and the attachment to connect the modem to your pc through the serial port, the attachment can be brought pre-made for about £10 and cable box from probably about the same price

Well I'm with sky atm, u don't need 2 hack 2 get free internet. After 1st month u can ask 4 free internet & they'll give it 2 u. Download speed varies from 1-2mb. Mine's 2mb

Well i just managed to hack my first cable modem today guys and I can say that I'm very happy with the results AND I'm running it at 20meg! quicker than you can supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!! lol really though if you get the right type of modem it's p**s easy to do and I've had a good read up on the the subject of Virgin media or any cable co. taking action and basically it's zilch! basically the cable co's don't want to bother with hacked modems unless a) you're gerassed up b) they start getting complaints and c) if they did prosecute then the person prosecuted would become a media target because it's an unknown charge etc and then everyone in the country would know that it's possible for cable modems to be hacked and they'd start searching how to do it and then the cable co will have a HUGE burst of hacked modems and they wouldn't want that happening! so as long as you play it safe it's a very handy thing to know! if anyone wants to know any more then pm me or just leave me a message on here.
I will say that the easiest cable modems to hack are the Motorola surfboards SB3100, SB4100, SB5100 and I think there's a SB2100 aswell but i'm not 100% on that but if there is then i'd have thought that one too! to do these modems you need 3 simple programs and when the first person on here says that they want the files as they'd like to try it out i'll post them on here.
All other modems require soldering and cables and stuff which is still pretty easy to do if you're good with a soldering iron etc but the above modems only require a file to be loaded onto them through a TFTP server which you can host on your own PC and then it'll open up 2 other pages in the cables own internal web pages called hack and sniff which you can check out on http://192.168.100.1/
Anyway, let us know if anyone has a motorola SB series modem and would like to try it so that there's someone out there who can then vouch and backup what i'm saying is right!
