That is scary.

I use wireless in my home and never thought it would be that easy for someone to hack into a secured wifi connection.

I have booked holidays, paid insurance and bought things all with my credit cards.

Think i might dig out my old cables and go old skool.

Is there anyway you can make your wifi network impossible to hack?

Im always buying things of the internet without a second thought because i obviously thought my secured wifi connection was secure.

Didnt know it could get hacked into so easily.

Any purchases, personal details or anything like that im gonna wire me computer up.

Well done! Not just for showing this but helping others. As someone who as always gave information to others on how to protect themselves, this has brought home that my teachings have value.

I always want to help those who are unable to stop abuse on their networks. What has now shocked me is with determination and without giving away the non-windows solution to hacking software displayed, is just how easy with just some s/ware experience this can explode for a hacker an opportunity.

Shame, it should be a trustworthy word but it apparently is not.

In short, you need to protect yourself! My advice is - FIRST use your CAT 45 always secondly if you have to use a wireless network then use a min. Of 256 encryption. Or +, hide you SSID.
Upmost don?t fall for a sales pitch that sells you unsecure software.

the exact same thing happened to my freind on wendesday,
he only found out because he was walkin past his router and noticed the lights flashing mad

anyway he got some software off 1 of his techy mates and double secured it

but whoever got in hacked all his msn and other account passwords

WPA and WPA2 are harder arent they, i hope so also if you dont change the default pass cant people who connect to your router mess up ur settings and stuff
