It could be a reverse pickpocket kind of thing. Like, before the video started (before the segment that we see, at least) the card was planted there. He could have been moving her around - "Now, if you stand over here, like this, 'cause the sun's over there and we don't want camera glare..." - and slipped the card in there. Then he just has to force her to choose that card (obviously a duplicate) which is a standard card magic technique.
Still a cool trick though. | |
