Hi if you hate paying tv licence fees you might want to try this. on the TVLA website it specifically states that you do not need a license if you only watch dvd's/play games etc (ie anything other than watch live tv). However you do need to inform them and they may come and check your story.http://tvlicensing.metafaq.com

Everyone out there should remember that TV Licensing Officers have no right of entry. they have to apply to a magistrates court to get a warrant to give them a power of entry. By that time im sure you would have connected your Game Console to your TV

That may be so but if they get entry they have a legal right to go through your channels and TV settings so you'll have to get rid of your cable/ sky gear..

surely you could just unplug it and leave it there i mean they might not have evidence that you have been watching TV with it, you could say it is... a decorative sky box

Nice Idea a friend of mine open the door naked to one their officers they suddently lost interest in checking about the tv license and went away lol

no it's not, the law states that if the apparatus is capable of receiving a televison signal then a licence is required wheter you are using it or not. sorry

Just take the leads out then, or maybe just spend a 100 quid or whatever it is now to get a licence, probably easier that way and we then wont get nicked for being naked in public. Peace
