So if you live somewhere where nobody uses the internet except you then you'll get faster internet?

im meant to be getting around 2 mb, but im so far from the exchange can only get 1.3 MAX. even if i go to another provider, or got up to 12 mb, still only get 1mb....

living in the middle of knowere suxx0rs

I've used speedtest.net several times and always found it to be pretty accurate. I always use the London server, it seems better than the Maidenhead one which is recommended (yellow). I'm on Virgin Media 20 meg and the test usually shows 16-19 meg.

And about the prices of the internet DSL lines?
Here in Greece we have 16.5 euro per month for 1 Mbps speed, 19.5 euro/month for 2 Mbps and i think 29.5 euro/month for 24 Mbps.

How this is compared to other countries? I'm especially interested for other Europe countries as also for USA, Japan etc....
