Juice is a good idea, but milk is not. Yes, it does line the stomach, but only for a short period of time. In other words, if you drink milk, then have a few pints, the milk eventually (and quite suddenly) breaks down, giving the body a sudden boost of alcohol to ingest. It's literally sober-to-pissed in ten seconds flat! |

The only alcohol you will get out your system will be the alcohol left in your stomache and will do nothing to all the alcohol that has already left the stomache.
The saying that if you dont eat before drinking you get more drunk is a myth as well.
It wont stop you getting just as drunk it will just slow it down as the food has to pass through the system as well as the alcohol but if you drink just the same you will be just as pissed. | Drinking and eating is good.
Richard Hammond proved so...
That's why the French get less drunk than the English. |

When you consume high amounts of alcohol, you body becomes depleted of potassium. This exhausting of potassium levels makes up one of the reasons you feel so awful when you've got a hangover. Bananas are a first-class source of potassium and help to replenish the potassium you've lost. Bananas are likewise high in magnesium which will relax your blood vessels and can relieve you from a thumping headache. Bananas are also full of the vitamin B6, that has been proven to subdue hangover symptoms. In addition, bananas are a natural remedy for heartburn because they are full of natural antacid. |

Pure oxygen makes you feel a lot better if you need to get to work while hungover and it's a lot easier to get hold of nowadays.
Alternatively, get a girlfriend who is a nurse and get her to hook you up to a glucose drip. Used to do it in the army. After an hour or so on the drip you feel ready for round two hehe. |

This means I cant take any pain killers or drink anything because it will come back up within 1-2 minutes. This was either down to the stupid amount I had consumed or the fact that I only drink coke when im not drinking alcohol so i was severly dehydrated in the first place.
Anyway recently I have not been getting hangovers now and again and I noticed it coincided with each time I had eaten an extra large lamb doner with chili sauce and raw onions just before I started drinking. Yes its the most unhealthiest thing in the world but its better than the super hangover.
Oh and I also reccomend Irn Bru for drinking the next day when you can drink. Seems to perk me up and I can actually taste it. Anything else just tastes like tonic water to me for the next 24 hours. |
