A couple of sites that are specifically for UK TV and radio programmes, should anyone be interested (and not know of them already):
UKNova.com - this has been around for quite a few years and often has new stuff first, but the torrents have a cutoff limit of 42 days. Also, the powers that be here can be a little abrupt at times!
TheBox.bz - a newer site (around for a couple of years, though!), much more of a wealth of material and there are still torrents on here right from when it started! I think that they close signups sometimes, but they're currently open by the looks of it.
Both are ratio-based, but it's worth it for the rarity of some of the material |

It also searches within files so its easier to find specific items located within each torrent. Torrentz used to do this but they changed it which dropped it down the pecking order in my opinion. |

can anyone clarify if this site is good or not?
I'll just stick to Leecherslair for the mo. Private trackers ftw.
mininova is full of unseeding bastards imo |

They now use encrypted servers to portect your IP address from the agencies that are trying to stop copyright infringment. https:\\isohunt.com. I also use bitcomet to download, if you become a memeber, the more you share the faster your download speed becomes. I'm currently downloading at max chat for most of my torrents now. |

IsoHunt is one of the most popular aside from corrupt/virus infected files on many torrents.
However one of the best uploaders on Isohunt is aXXo.
I myself use iLoveTorrents.com Where the Love of Torrents is Born a more private site and virus free 100%.

In addition, use a good and fast client. I used to use Azureus (Vuze) but now I have switched to uTorrent and using that very effectively with uTorrent accelerator from trafficspeeders.com
By far the fastest download client out of about 6 that I have tried on the same 6 files.
Vuze has just become far to heavy, bittornado used to be good, utorrent comes tops (with the accelerator) |
