Podcasting is the newest craze on the internet and can be of benefit to both individuals and businesses. From radio talk show hosts Rush Limbaugh to Al Franken, people are embracing podcasting. Al Franken's show can be found on iTunes and Rush's show is available to his subscribers from his website. According to Apple Computer CEO Steve Jobs, "Podcasting is the next generation of radio".

Podcasting is a new concept on the internet which came into existence. Adam Curry and software developer Dave Winer are credited with developing podcasting. Curry wrote a program called iPodder which allowed him to automatically download internet radio broadcasts to his iPod and Winer was instrumental in promoting RSS (Really Simple Sydication). Subsequently, Curry and Winer devised a way to send audio files through RSS feeds.
