I've known about this. You can also do it with bills, if you add some tape to it, and pull it out again.

I tried this, I got my finger stuck in the machine and had to pay the Tescos manager £350 for a replacement one. I broke my finger and I was -£350 in cash. My mum came to visit and brought be a can of coke. So a tthe end of the day i got my free drink =).

yea ive tried this at my old school's vending machines and it hasnt worked. not able to pull it out. good idea thoguh im sure theres some way around it

All modern machines e.g. manufactured after about 1990 have mechs that would counteract this. In other words the coin can only go through the mech in one direction. Also modern coin mechs are acceptors and not rejectors ( BIG difference) coins are tested using magnetic methods and speed checks to make sure they are the correct Weigt, size, shape and metal content. if they do not pass through the mech at the correct speed or do not pass all the way through often a coin problem alarm will be sounded but even if there is no alarm you will not get the goods and probably lose the coin. Thereby getting nothing for something.
