This one has been around for some time.....

Hustler 1
Buys a cheap item from a shop and hands the shopkeeper a £20 note, collects the change and leaves!
The note will have a distinguished mark on it....

Hustler 2
Enters the shop and buys a cheap items and hands the shopkeeper a £5 note.
When he receives the change he explains to the shopkeeper he gave him a £20....and infomrs the shopkeeper is has a distinguished mark!

That is a shity shop indeed.....

need to use busy shops.....you could even have hustler#2 memorise some of the bank note serial number

Realistically if I was a shopkeeper and someone said "the £20 I handed had a rip halfway down the side" or something I would be suspicious. If someone recited the serial number I would say get out the shop you scamming bastard lol. It's too obvious and I doubt many people would fall for it.

"brick yourself" lol. but seriously, that wouldnt work, as the shopkeeper would remember if he had seen his face. some guy would come in and say "I've already given you money, now let me take this" would they

it's all about confidence....

if the note had an ink mark or something on it....

Anyway..I would not advise people to try this, like i said this is an old hustle

It works better is busy bars (unless they say they will count the till.....ha)

I think if you did it in a busy bar it could work (I've got a certain local one in mind). It's in a club where they literally start asking the next person for their order whilst handing your change over. If you got their attention after they come back with the person next to you's order and said you handed a £20 or whatever then they may believe you. With regards to the marked note I think it would be too suspicious. I may get someone to try it (I don't think I'd be convincing).

lol i remember watching this episode it is a great hustle if you can pull it off but i don't think i would be very good at this at all i could do the 1st bit no problem lol.
