xp activation hack??

I just replaced my motherboard and now cant log into windows xp as it say I need to activate it first! I dont even get the 30 days to activate as it wont let me in, just like an expired activation..

So I can get into windows by using the method on the other post below but I need to find a way to activate it as it says my xp is no good.. (it came on the pc)

ANy help would be great!

Contact Microsoft, they usually provide legitimate customers with new activation keys.
Alternativly you could use an activation hack, loads of 'em about on torrent sites, although if you've paid for your copy of XP and own the license then contacting MS is the best option.

i take it you have another computer cause you wouldn't be on here cause your 30 days gone type in google wpakill.exe download the file put it on a memory stick boot your computer up and press f8 go into safe mode plug the mem stick in run wpakill.exe apply patch reboot and your activated

thanks for the advice, I got it sorted in the end, someone gave me an activation code that worked but I may need to format mine soon as I'm giving my pc to me old man and I want a clean install and dont have a certified copy..

dont install service pack 3 on xp as it will wipe the activation it works on sp2 just to let you know
